I know the cool thing is to set your earcups up on the helmet, but I don't do this, so having Marks and gel pads works perfectly fine.īut, not trying to talk you into anything, just explaining my thinking.A 100% money-back guarantee backs our return policy. This has just become my new std and seems to be more comfortable in the long run. Or there's the excuse to get a SF/NSW super high-cut helmet! I have also just learned to position the ear cups as low as possible on my ear assemblies, with the cup brushing the top of my ears. You just have to rebend the wires to fit. But once you get this sorted, it's not an issue.įor some they do seem to sit lower. I ended up making shims and using different type/length hardware to tighten up this interface. The tension to the rail set up can be loose, depending on what rails you have (I've run both OpsCore and legacy Revision). Even though they are things I like better about the Peltors, as described, this is the deal-breaker for me.

The Marks are more "fire and forget" in this regard. I like the Marks better, overall, simply because I have had the Peltors loose tension over time and pop out on their own. Personally I prefer the UT's, but as many described this is user-determined. It sounds like Peltors would work better for you. Honestly, either is a good choice and will work well. Right now I have been using the Peltors, but I switch back and forth. The other issue is (and maybe it's just me) the marks are not attached as well as the Peltors and can come loose and start to shift in the Arc rail. The tension also makes it a little tougher when putting on the helmet or taking it off, but that's not a big deal. I haven't had issues with tension, but I don't rotate them back. I don't recommend rotating them back because the pressure on the gel cups tends to wear them down faster. The downfall to not being able to pop them out is that to give your ears a break you have to rotate them back or take the helmet off. Not being able to pop them out prevents them from coming off your ear during use (no loud noise if hunting). The MARK adapters are nice and compact so if you want to attach anything else to the rail there is a lot of room. Another thing is they lock into the rail solid and will not slide during use. It also allows you to rotate them back and out of the way.

The positives are that you can pop them out for airflow and it makes getting the helmet on/off easier. Also, the "pop" to lock them in or out is pretty loud so be careful if hunting with them. The Peltors take up more space on the rail and could pop out during use. I have both and have gone back and forth on which one I like more.
